Ms. Kim Malin Lakeit is the Director of International Cooperation at the Deutsche Energie-Agentur (dena), where she leads a department of around 30 experts implementing international energy cooperation formats on behalf of the German government. Her work spans energy partnerships, cross‑border collaboration, and Europe‑wide initiatives supporting the global energy transition. Previously, she served as Team Lead for Hydrogen Technologies and Value Chains, advising the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action on European and German hydrogen infrastructure. In this role, she helped develop pipeline‑based hydrogen import corridors from Northern Europe and advanced planning for the “energy ports of the future,” strengthening sustainable value chains in offshore wind and hydrogen derivatives. Earlier positions at dena include senior roles in international hydrogen market development, where she supported Germany’s National Hydrogen Strategy and partnerships with China and Turkey. Kim Malin Lakeit holds a Master’s in Sustainable Energy Systems and a Bachelor’s in Energy Technology.
