Georgia leads the Sustainable Energy and Just Transition Unit, part of UNIDO's Division of Energy and Climate Action advancing inclusive, low-carbon industrial development at the intersection of energy, industry, and finance. Her work focuses on mobilizing private capital and delivering just energy transitions in emerging markets through strategic partnerships, supporting countries in delivering on climate and energy transition commitments. Through technical cooperation and country-level implementation, she translates global climate commitments into investable industrial projects, while advancing energy transition solutions for industrial systems and value chains and supporting the decarbonization of industry and productive sectors. She has extensive experience in structuring blended finance solutions and unlocking investment in complex markets, having mobilized over $1.1 billion in private capital across Africa, Asia, and Eastern Europe. Her work has focused on developing bankable energy and industrial projects, advancing market-based approaches to risk mitigation, and enabling scalable investment in emerging economies.
