Having practised as an international business lawyer in the energy and infrastructure sector for more than a decade in London and Tokyo, he joined METI in July 2022 and currently leads the hydrogen and fuel cells strategy team. He also worked in-house at a leading Japanese trading house and has a good understanding of the needs and dynamics of the business as well as the challenges that the clean energy transition may face.
