Stefano is the Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Sustainable Energy for All (SEforALL), where he works with the CEO and UN Special Representative of the Secretary-General for Sustainable Energy for All, governance bodies, and global stakeholders to advance Sustainable Development Goal 7 (SDG7): universal access to sustainable energy by 2030, and a just, equitable energy transition in support of global net-zero goals. He also leads SEforALL’s International Engagements department, advancing energy priorities across major global fora including the G20, G7, BRICS, and the UNFCCC, while overseeing the organization’s country offices. A career diplomat with over 20 years of international experience in diplomacy, climate, energy, and sustainable development, Stefano previously served as Diplomatic Advisor to Italy’s Minister of Environment, as Senior Advisor at IRENA, and represented Italy at the United Nations and the Council of Europe. He has lived and worked across Europe, Latin America, and the Middle East, and holds advanced degrees in Public Administration, Diplomacy, and Law.
