Siddharth Dasgupta is Head of Industry Decarbonization at the Climate Investment Funds, where he leads a ~$1 billion concessional finance program — the world’s largest dedicated initiative for decarbonizing hard-to-abate industrial sectors in developing countries. Under his leadership, seven countries across Latin America, Africa, the Middle East, and Central Asia are developing sector-specific Transition Investment Plans for steel, cement, chemicals, and shipping, coordinated across all six multilateral development banks. Previously, Siddharth advised governments and multilateral institutions on climate investment strategy across 80+ countries at EY, and served on the Global Energy Innovation team at the Bezos Fund. He hosts Carbon Dialogue, a podcast on climate finance and industrial transition. An electrical engineer by training, he also holds an MBA and an Masters in Environmental Sciences from Columbia University.
