Mr. Sascha Raabe is Head of the Global Alliance for Responsible and Green Minerals at UNIDO in Vienna. A German national, he served 19 years in the German Parliament, where he was on the Committee on Economic Cooperation and Development and Subcommittee on the United Nations, also chairing the SPD Group for Development. He played a key role in adopting the EU-Conflict Minerals Regulation, passing Germany’s Supply Chain Due Diligence Law, and increasing the German development budget to meet the 0.7% ODA target. Raabe, former Mayor of Rodenbach, holds a PhD in Political Science from Goethe University Frankfurt.
