Dr. Maurice NIATY-MOUAMBA is a Transport Economist with a long experience gained working in business, public administration, research offices and intergovernmental regional integration organizations. This experience covers design, programming, planning, management, consulting, training, negotiations with development partners. Dr NIATY-MOUAMBA has worked with several international organizations and institutions: ECA, UNDP, World Bank, European Union, SSATP, MCC, ADB, Regional Economic Communities, African Union... At the African Union Commission, he brought his experience in the development of the Transport Program within in the various Strategic Plans, as well as in the preparation of the PIDA as well as in the development and implementation of its Priority Action Plan and linkage to AU Agenda 2063. Dr NIATY-MOUAMBA was a Minister of Transport and a Member of Parliament. Since January 2026, he is appointed at the ECCAS as the Commissioner for Spatial Planning and Infrastructures.
