At UNIDO, Mr. Kong’ongó supports smallholder farmers to adopt sustainable energy and post-harvest management solutions. His initiative in Sudan to improve livelihoods and nutrition security with special attention towards women was recognised by the UN as one of the SDG Best Practices. Before UNIDO, he led the Common Market for Eastern and Southern Science, Technology and Innovation initiative to harness existing technologies to create new enterprises that export to regional and international markets.
