Dr. Amir Lebdioui is Director of the TIDE Centre at the University of Oxford and Associate Professor in the Political Economy of Development. His work focuses on economic diversification, green industrial policy, low-carbon innovation, and development strategies in resource-dependent economies.
His research has been published in leading journals, including World Development, Ecological Economics, and Review of International Political Economy. He also advises governments and international organizations on green industrial policy and structural transformation.
Before joining Oxford, he was a Lecturer at SOAS University of London and previously held research and teaching roles at the London School of Economics and the University of Cambridge, where he also completed his PhD.
His work bridges academic research and policy, with a strong focus on sustainable development and global inequality.
