Minister Marie-May Jeremie is the Minister for Environment, Climate Change and Energy of the Republic of Seychelles. She leads national efforts on environmental protection, climate resilience, renewable energy, and sustainable development, advancing Seychelles’ transition towards a low-carbon and climate-resilient economy as a Small Island Developing State. A trained conservation biologist with over 15 years of experience, she has worked extensively on biodiversity conservation, ocean governance, and environmental policy. She previously served as Chief Executive Officer of the Seychelles Conservation and Climate Adaptation Trust (SeyCCAT) and currently serves as Chair (President) of the Western Indian Ocean Marine Science Association (WIOMSA). Minister Jeremie is an experienced negotiator on multilateral environmental agreements and a strong advocate for island states, promoting practical, science-based solutions to global climate challenges.
