H.E. Mr. Youssouf Mondoha Assoumani is the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Union of the Comoros to the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia and Permanent Representative to the African Union, based in Addis Ababa. Ambassador Assoumani represents the Comoros in the African Union’s Permanent Representatives’ Committee, where he has contributed to advancing continental priorities, including institutional reform, regional integration, peace and security, and implementation of Agenda 2063. In his capacity, Ambassador Assoumani plays a key role in articulating the Comoros’ foreign policy positions, strengthening engagement with AU Member States, and fostering partnerships with international organizations. He also works to deepen bilateral relations between the Comoros and Ethiopia, promoting cooperation in areas such as development, resilience, and sustainable growth.
