Dr. van Ruijven’s interests range from energy and technology scenarios to energy transitions and the impacts of climate change. He works on the analysis of energy demand across climate models and socioeconomic scenarios and a global analysis of the role of electricity interconnections in greenhouse gas mitigation. Dr. van Ruijven works on assessing the co-benefits and trade-offs of climate policies for other Sustainable Development Goals. He is coordinator of the Energy Demand changes Induced by Technological and Social innovations (EDITS) network.
