This session honours the winners of the Net-Zero Industries Award 2025, showcasing outstanding individuals and organisations advancing the transition to a net-zero industry.

As a flagship initiative of Mission Innovation’s Net-Zero Industries Mission, the Award brings forward breakthrough projects and leading innovators across energy-intensive sectors. The ceremony will include the official handover of trophies and certificates to international and national winners.

The session offers a dedicated moment of recognition within the International Vienna Energy and Climate Forum, highlighting impactful solutions, fostering international collaboration, and underlining the critical role of innovation in industrial decarbonisation.

The Net‑Zero Industries Mission (NIM) is a global initiative under Mission Innovation (MI) that aims to accelerate the development and deployment of cost‑competitive solutions to decarbonize hard‑to‑abate, energy‑intensive industries such as steel, cement, and chemicals by 2030. As one of MI’s seven flagship missions, it brings together governments, industry, investors, and research institutions to fast‑track breakthrough clean technologies, scale large demonstration projects, and reduce capital costs for low‑emission industrial processes. Co‑led by Austria and Australia, the mission focuses on enabling the rapid adoption of innovative solutions worldwide through research, knowledge sharing, and coordinated action among its member countries.
