Waldemar Lagoda

Deputy Director of Energy Department, Ministry of Energy, Poland

Born in 1967, Szczecin, Poland. Academic education in electric engineering at Technical University of Szczecin, post graduate at National School of Public Administration, Warsaw. His career started in 1993 in shipbuilding industry as quality control engineer. Civil servant since 1999. Working in energy area, especially at electricity market and transmission infrastructure issues. Representing Poland at many EU working parties related to EU policy on energy, electricity security of supply and energy market. Experienced in cooperation on regional level in Central and Eastern Europe, Northern Europe and Baltic region as well as on bilateral relations with European, Asian and American partner countries. Responsible also for energy efficiency solutions and introduction to national law EU directives.

Married, two children.
