Ramy Yacoub


Ramy is a profoundly committed Egyptian young professional in the Sustainable Development field working towards achieving the 17 SDGs with a vast interest in climate action, energy, entrepreneurship and innovation, environmental advocacy and youth inclusion.

Ramy holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from The University of Manchester and a Postgraduate Certificate in Sustainable Business Strategy from Harvard Business School in addition to certificates from IRENA and Oxford School of Climate Change. He has professional experience in different regions globally such as Europe, the Gulf and MENA. He specializes in Project/Programme Management and is also experienced in Business Development and Strategy as well as Research and Analysis. Throughout his career, Ramy worked with respectable diplomatic organizations, UN Offices, NGOs and governmental institutes as well as purpose-driven private sector companies in several regional and global projects of varying scales.

Ramy aspires to be a well-versed young leader who brings to the table an energetic multicultural personality with a diverse and rich background. He is a member of YOUNGO, the official youth constituency of the UNFCCC and also a member of UNMGCY SDG7 Youth Constituency. He is passionate about enabling change towards sustainability through innovative holistic solutions focusing on social and environmental impacts.
