Mr. Oleksandr Chermnykh

Mr. Oleksandr Chermnykh obtained a Bachelor’s degree in world history (American and European Studies) at the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, Ukraine. Currently, he is enrolled in the Master’s program in public policy (International Public Affairs) at Central European University, Austria. Oleksandr also took part in the ERASMUS academic exchange at the Masaryk University, Czech Republic and numerous ERASMUS training sessions and youth exchanges in different CEE countries (Lithuania, Hungary, Serbia, Moldova, etc.). All these academic and informal educational experiences formed a clear understanding of the world with the challenges and developments that humanity and especially young people are facing nowadays.

Oleksandr also has diverse working experience in different sectors. He competed an internship in the Ukrainian Parliament (Verkhovna Rada) as an Assistant to the People’s Deputy. He also worked as a Project Manager for Mazars in Ukraine. Now, he is interning for UNIDO’s  Coordination Division for Europe and Central Asia.

As a member of the Youth Advisory Group, he works to expanding engagement with young people especially in the context of UNIDO’s the technical cooperation projects.He recognized it is a key priority for the UN system as a whole.
