Nitin Goel is the co-founder and chief operating officer at Inficold. Nitin obtained his BTech from IIT Bombay and PhD from Univ. of Florida in Mechanical Engineering. He has vast product development experience in electronics cooling, solar energy and refrigeration. He has authored 20 journal papers and filed 6 patents. He has previously worked at Intel Corporation, SunBorne Energy and Sheetak Inc.
Inficold’s patent pending technology enables the world’s first implementation of a “plug and play” low cost thermal storage for any compressor based refrigeration system. It is a non-invasive retrofit, which requires minimal user intervention to store electricity in a cooling medium & provide uninterrupted cooling. It can mitigate use of diesel generators during power outages, store solar energy for non-solar hours & manage ‘Time of the Day’ tariffs. The company is currently focusing on cold room & milk cooling applications at farm level cold storage, grocery retailers, pharmacy & dairy companies. Solar integration for off-grid application is being done in partnership with the National Institute of Solar Energy (Ministry of New & Renewable Energy, India).
