Ms. Yvonne Lokko has over 20 years’ professional experience in the application of science-based technologies for sustainable agriculture and agribusiness development, including through research for development and in delivery of technical assistance services. At UNIDO, Yvonne is Team Lead of the Agro Innovation and Bioeconomy Unit, providing technical oversight in the formulation and implementation of technical cooperation services that address the challenges associated with the impact of  climate change, food and water shortages, environmental pollution, and loss of biodiversity, on the agriculture and agribusiness sector. Prior to joining UNIDO, she was a postdoctoral research scientist with the International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA), Nigeria, and Technical Officer with the Joint FAO/IAEA Division of Nuclear Techniques in Food and Agriculture, Austria. Ms. Lokko has authored several scientific publications. She holds a PhD in crop science from the University of Ghana and an MSc in plant biotechnology from the University of London.
