Director, UN Climate Technology Centre and Network (CTCN)
Dr. Rose Mwebaza (PhD) is the Director and Advisory Board Secretary of the Climate Technology Centre & Network (CTCN). The CTCN is the operational arm of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) Technology Mechanism. The CTCN is mandated to implement the Technology Framework of the Paris Agreement and to promote the accelerated transfer of environmentally sound technologies for low carbon and climate resilient development at the request of developing countries.
Rose has over 20 years’ experience providing and Technical support and Policy Advice on a wide range of climate change, environment and sustainable development issues. She has previously served as Chief Natural Resources Officer at the African Development Bank and held leadership positions within the UNDP.
