Mariam Laban is a Software Developer at Siemens Digital Industries, specializing in Industrial Automation. She graduated from Lycée Français de Vienne and continued her academic journey at Vienna University of Technology, where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and Information Technology.
Currently, Mariam is pursuing her Master’s degree in Automation and Robotic Systems, with a primary focus on AI. In her professional role, Mariam specializes in Machine Vision for material handling tasks in industrial settings. Her work is part of a joint diploma thesis between Siemens and Vienna University of Technology, tailored for Siemens’ production and manufacturing processes.
Beyond her technical role, Mariam passionately envisions a future where AI literacy among the youth is a driving force for change in the tech industry. She firmly believes that the fresh perspectives and digital-native mindset of the younger generation are invaluable assets that will fuel innovation and transform the industry.
