Ms. Elvira Lutter

Elvira Lutter has been working as a programme manager for the Austrian Federal Government’s Climate and Energy Fund since 2011. 

She is responsible for the design and management of national energy research and innovation programmes as well as for participation in European research programmes. In April 2016, Ms Lutter was nominated by the Federal Ministry for Climate Policy as the Austrian delegate to the Executive Committee of the IEA Technology Cooperation Programme on Industrial Energy-Related Technologies and Systems (IETS). Since September 2022 she is Mission Director of the Mission Innovation Net-Zero Industries Initiative. 

Previously, Elvira Lutter was a senior consultant at Pöyry Energy GmbH (now AFRY) responsible for sustainable energy, energy efficiency and climate protection. As a research associate at the Austrian Energy Agency, she dealt with EU energy and climate policy and its implementation in Austria, as well as monitoring and evaluation of policy instruments. Ms Lutter started her career in 1998 at eta florence, an Italian pioneer in sustainable energy systems. 

Elvira Lutter studied business administration at the Karl Franzens University in Graz and at the University of Liège. She completed a specialisation in Marketing Management & Strategy at the Anderson Business School of Management, UCLA.
