Mr Kuljit Singh Popli an Engineer by qualification has more than 40 years of experience dealing conventional Power and Renewable energy sectors. He was Chairman & Managing Director of Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency (IREDA) – a central public sector understanding under Ministry of New And Renewable Energy, Government of India and a pioneering developmental finance institution dedicated to financing of renewable energy and energy efficiency projects in India. As chairman and earlier as Director Technical he developed and brought out new financial products for financing Renewable Energy in the country. Mr Popli has contributed to Co-financing during SCIAP project development, implementing interest subvention in GEF – UNIDO projects on Concentrated Solar Technology and Organic Waste to Energy in Industrial projects during his Chairmanship of IREDA.
