Aaron Esumeh is an entrepreneur and power electronics engineer with over 6 years of experience in power electronics design and manufacturing and business management. He is the co-founder and current CEO of Greenage Technologies, a solar equipment manufacturer based in Enugu, Nigeria, with products distributed in all states across the country with a 100MW solar equipment factory under construction. Aaron also co-founded the Hardware Garage, a platform that helps hardware startups turn their product ideas and prototypes into commercially viable products and companies.
He holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Nigeria Nsukka. Aaron and his team have received several awards and recognitions, including the 2019 USADF/AllOn Off-Grid Energy award, the Genesys Ignite Best Tech start-up South East Nigeria Award, and a nomination for the 2018 Future Africa Awards Prize for Technology.
Aaron is a strong advocate for a thriving manufacturing sector, believing it’s vital for a country’s strategic positioning, economic independence, and the prevention of becoming a receptacle for outdated foreign technologies. In his leisure time, he enjoys swimming, playing basketball, and hiking.
