Gerardo Patacconi

Officer-in-Charge, Department of Agri-Business Development and Task Force Lead on Migration, UNIDO

After working in the manufacturing and banking sector in Italy, Gerardo joined UNIDO in 1987 in Papua New Guinea. Currently he is the Acting Director of the Department of Agribusiness Development where he leads the development and implementation of innovative industrial and commercial policies, strategies and programmes in over 60 countries with focus on creative industries, migration and youth employment and women empowerment, as well as public-private partnerships for social, economic and environmental sustainability and buyers-suppliers linkages. Gerardo is the UNIDO focal point with ILO, FAO and the UN Global Migration Group (GMG).
