Director of Professional Lighting, Department of Public and Government Affairs, Philips Lighting
Barbara is Director of Professional Lighting in the Public and Government Affairs department at Philips Lighting, in the Netherlands. She is responsible for global strategic outreach and stakeholder management of public-private partnerships with a focus on energy and climate change. As such she enables and facilitate the transition of cities, states and regions to energy efficient, sustainable LED lighting solutions.
Prior to this, she worked at the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), Vienna, Austria, where she held a variety of global positions ranging from Head of Business Partnerships Group to external relations to project management. In her most recent role, Barbara positioned UNIDO to foster private sector collaboration and to upscale the organization’s private sector portfolio.
Barbara started her professional career as project manager at Deloitte in Brussels, Belgium. She holds a Master’s degree in International Affairs from Georgetown University and a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations from Tufts University in the United States.
