Pathways to prosperity and a climate neutral energy system (FAWn, Global Energy Solutions)

The session presents a Reference Solution for a global climate-neutral and prosperity-creating energy system. The proposed solution shall work for 10 billion people in 2050, is technically feasible, economically viable and based on economic GDP growth of an average of 6% for the Global South. It combines renewable energy, reliably controllable energy sources, carbon management technologies as well as carbon removals by nature-based solutions.

The Reference Solution was developed by Global Energy Solutions over the last two years and is introduced and discussed for the first time on the international level.
