Launch of the State of Electricity Access Report 2017: Energy Access and the Race to Meet Sustainable Energy Goals by 2030

This World Bank-sponsored session will put the spotlight on the new State of Energy Access Report, 2017 (SEAR). This first edition of the SEAR is a narrative on energy access integrating lessons learned with insights drawn from emerging off-grid innovative business and delivery models, to prompt stakeholders for action.

The Global Tracking Framework, now in its third edition, is a global dashboard that makes it possible to monitor global, regional and national progress towards the 2030 objectives for sustainable Energy.

The newly launched RISE (Regulatory Indicators for Sustainable Energy) is a policy scorecard of unprecedented depth and breadth covering the three pillars of energy access, energy efficiency and renewable energy in 111 countries worldwide.

This session will draw on a wide evidence base to shed light on these questions and engage with leading policy makers who are already making it happen. It will highlight the contribution of the World Bank Sustainable Energy for ALL Knowledge Hub.
